Actress, comedian, screenwriter, and producer Kristen Wiig has purchased a striking Georgian-style estate located just a few blocks from her former Pasadena home—Case Study House #10—which she recently sold to fellow actor Lily Collins. Wiig, who is set to star in an upcoming Apple-scripted comedy series called Mrs. American Pie, paid $4.9 million for the pad sold by Emmy-nominated producers Emre Sahin and Sarah Wetherbee.

According to Dirt, the Saturday Night Live star’s new home was originally built in 1930 and was given a contemporary overhaul by the previous owners in collaboration with architect Kevin Oreck and interior designer Deborah Rhein. Wiig's new property lies on a picturesque street in a sought-after neighborhood where notable residents include Meryl Streep, Grimes, and Oscar De La Hoya reside.

The two-story red brick structure is accented by black-shuttered windows and a beautiful bright green door. Three bedrooms and four bathrooms make up the 4,000 square feet home. Natural light fills the interior from an automated skylight, accompanied by French doors which spill out to an inviting patio perfect for al fresco dining.

A formal living room includes a tiled fireplace and custom floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. The home is finished with hardwood floors, designer light fixtures and steel-framed windows and doors.  Wiig’s new backyard includes a patio and private grassy grounds which surround a pool with a Baja shelf and a cabana. The home also includes a garage that’s been converted into an art room.
